our school has a library. it's not big but it is very bright and clean. there are story books, picture books in it. you can also borrow books about music and sports. i like to read stories,so i often borrow story books from the library. every time we can keep the book for two week.
there is a big reading room in the library. when you enter the reading room, you can find these words on the wall:"knowledge is power." and "keep silence!" we can read magazines and newspapers in the reading room, but we can't take them out.
today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. the world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. we are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. if we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive.
concerned people have made some progress in environmental protection. governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.
still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. people should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve(保存) our natural resources and recycle(再循环) our products. we are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.
spring set in early this year. some of my neighbors began to grow flowers. there were morning glories, jasmine, cactus, and the like in their flowerpots. i wanted to have a try myself. but i had neither knowledge nor experience in such matters. fortunately, i came across a book on plants in the library. i read the relevant chapters, which left me with the impression that any plant would grow luxuriantly if you could supply it with sufficient fertilizer and water. of these two essential factors, fertilizer was obviously by far the more important one.
according to what i had learnt from the hook, i sowed some seeds of morning glory in a flowerpot with a lot of fertilizer, and watered them everyday. i really took good care of them and eagerly awaited their sprouting. but,be that as it may,they just didn't come up. when half a month had elapsed,i was absolutely disappointed. i dug some of the seeds out of the soil and found they had already rotted! why they had rotted defied my analysis. so i went to consult one of my neighbors. he told me my failure was due to my misunderstanding of the hook, and the fact was that i had overfed them water or fertilizer may be a two-edged sword.
i think i must draw a lesson from this failure——never go beyond the limit even if for good purpose.
no matter where you go,there are many rules in the world. rules change bad habbies ，change our life.for example ，in our school,school ask student to wear the uniforms,because we are student from no.3 middle school,uniforms are symbols of student.and it‘s necessary to clean the class everyday,because clean class bring everybody happiness,and it good for our health.but in the school,we should not be allowed to make noisy when we take class,it not noly bring everyone good ideas,but we .also can learn some knowledges,and i think it’s so important too. in our school,there are a lot of rules，they teach us to be a better student,we must follow these rules.
